Rep. Deeken has served three terms as the clerk of Cole County, Mo. He is chairman of the Care Leave Program, which administers a donated pool of sick leave for Cole County employees and is a member of the Advisory Board for the Missouri National Voters Registration Act (NVRA), and serves on the Legislative Committee for the Missouri County Clerks' Association.
A past president of the Parish Council of St. Peter's Catholic Church of Jefferson City, Rep. A graduate of St. Peters and Helias High School in Jefferson City, Mo. Rep. Deeken resides there with his wife, Irene. They have three children: Jim Deeken, Debbie Lehman and Jolene Struebbe, and ten grandchildren.
