Info | KITTERA, John Wilkes, (father of Thomas Kittera), a Representative from Pennsylvania; born near Blue Ball, East Earl Township, Lancaster County, Pa., in November 1752; was graduated from Princeton College in 1776; studied law; was admitted to the bar in 1782 and commenced practice in Lancaster, Pa.; elected as a Pro-Administration candidate to the Second and Third Congresses; reelected to as a Federalist to the Fourth through Sixth Congresses (March 4, 1791-March 3, 1801); nominated by President John Adams as United States Attorney for the eastern district of Pennsylvania, February 18, 1801; died on June 6, 1801, in Lancaster, Pa., on; interment in the Presbyterian Cemetery.
