InfoRoss Miller is a third-generation Nevadan who currently serves as a Deputy District Attorney in Clark County, Nevada.

As a prosecutor, he has prosecuted thousands of cases and tried and convicted criminals for offenses including murder, sexual assault, armed robbery, drug trafficking, kidnapping, and child molestation. Some of his larger successes in prosecuting criminals include jury-trial murder convictions of Donald Sjolseth, Joe Armstead and Daniel Wolff. Sjolseth and Wolff are now serving sentences of life without the possibility of parole. In his capacity as a District Attorney, Ross also regularly lectures as an academy instructor for law enforcement groups in Southern Nevada.

In addition to his duties as a Deputy District Attorney, Ross Miller serves on the boards of community organizations throughout Nevada. Notably, Ross served as President of Citizen Alert's Board of Directors. Citizen Alert is an organization which works for public participation and government accountability in issues of concern to Nevadans, primarily focused on fighting the proposed nuclear waste repository at Yucca Mountain. He also serves on the Board of HELP of Southern Nevada, whose mission is to assist individuals and families to become self-sufficient through direct services, training and referral. Just in the past year, HELP of Southern Nevada has provided assistance to over 60,000 individuals and families in need, securing food, clothing, shelter, bus tokens, gasoline script, rental assistance and utility assistance. Ross Miller also serves on the Board of the Legacy Society for the Boys and Girls Club, an organization which sponsors and organizes events to raise money for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Las Vegas, to protect and nurture underprivileged youth in the Las Vegas community.

Ross holds a dual degree, in law (J.D.) and a Masters in Business Administration (M.B.A.), from Loyola Marymount University, in Los Angeles. Ross developed and presented his M.B.A thesis on Comparative Analysis of Gaming Regulatory Structures in Asia. While in business school and law school, he also interned in a management apprenticeship training program, at the Bellagio Hotel & Casino, in Las Vegas.

Ross completed his undergraduate studies at Stanford University in California, earning a Bachelor of Arts major in English, with minors in Psychology and Political Science. While at Stanford, Ross served as a White House Intern for President Clinton, where he worked under then-Cabinet Liaison Thurgood Marshall, Jr. At the White House, Ross worked on several major national and international issues, including the Kyoto Protocol on Climate Change as well as the President's Fast-Track Authority on Foreign Trade Agreements.
Ross also attended the Monterrey Technological Institute in Monterrey, Mexico, where he played on the Mexican Collegiate National Basketball Team and became fluent in the Spanish language.

Ross Miller is a Nevada native, who was born in Las Vegas and grew up in Carson City. He is the son of two second-generation Nevadans, Governor Bob Miller and Sandy Miller. While in Carson City, Ross attended Carson High School and moved to Las Vegas to attend Bishop Gorman High School, where he was a McDonald's High School All-American Nominee in basketball.

Ross met his wife, Lesley, when both were law students at Loyola Law School. Lesley is an associate attorney for Mainor Eglet Cottle, a Nevada law firm based in Las Vegas.
