InfoRon Forman is a proud graduate of New Orleans Public Schools. He attended Kingsley House and Wilson for pre-K through sixth grade, then Wilson Elementary, McMain Middle School and Fortier High School. He graduated from LSU with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration.

He served his country in the army, and became a proud parent. As a successful business executive and community leader, his decisive leadership turned our zoo from a national disgrace into a national treasure. His leadership turned abandoned warehouses along the river into thriving public space -- the Aquarium of the Americas, Woldenberg Riverfront Park and the Entergy IMAX Theatre.

Audubon built these projects on time and under budget with Ron's belief that it takes a team of great people focused on a common goal to create success. Now both the Audubon Zoo and the Aquarium of the Americas are ranked among the top five in the nation. Audubon's collection of museums grew to include the Audubon Louisiana Nature Center, Freeport-McMoRan Audubon Species Survival Center, Audubon Wilderness Park, the Audubon Center for Research of Endangered Species and the Audubon Insectarium.

Ron's civic work has benefited the United Negro College Fund, the LSU Health Sciences Center Foundation, the Louisiana Nature Conservancy and the New Orleans Convention and Visitors Bureau. As Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce, he worked hard to create jobs. He is a past President of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums, the Louisiana State Museum and the Greater New Orleans Marketing Committee.

Big Brothers and Gambit named him Man of the Year and New Orleans Magazine honored him as Man of the Decade.

Ron is married to Sally Gelpi Forman and has three children and one grandchild.
