Info | Deleon Guerrero, the CNMI's third elected governor, died in the evening of Oct. 6, 2006 after a long bout with illness.
He served as the Commonwealth's top executive official from 1990 to 1994, with Rota's Benjamin T. Manglona as his lieutenant governor.
He was the president of the Constitutional Convention of 1976 and also the first president of the CNMI Senate, serving from 1978 to 1980.
Deleon Guerrero is survived by his wife Matilde Villagomez Deleon Guerrero and their children Joaquin, Margaret, Frances, Gloria, Emiliana, Lorenza, Lorenzo Jr., Magdalena and Raymond. One of his ten children, Dolores, passed away in 2003.
