InfoHarold Albrecht has lived in what is now known as the Kitchener-Conestoga Federal Riding for over 50 years and in that time has served in many community leadership roles.

He was educated in Waterloo Region at Waterloo-Oxford District Secondary School, and Waterloo Lutheran University (now Wilfrid Laurier University). He then graduated from the University of Toronto with a Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree (DDS) in 1973. He owned and operated a private dental practice in Kitchener for 27 years.

Devoted to community service, Harold has served on numerous committees addressing the needs of the Kitchener-Conestoga community. These have included affordable housing projects, recreation facilities and children's activities. He was elected to serve as a trustee of the Waterloo County Board of Education from 1978 to 1982 and served as Chair of the Board from 1981-1982. Harold is actively involved in his community, and has served on a variety of boards and committees at the local, national and international levels.

Harold's commitment to public service extends beyond Canada's borders. He has undertaken numerous short term medical projects with the Christian Medical-Dental Society, and other international service assignments in Zambia, Zimbabwe, India, Nepal, Honduras, Dominican Republic, Venezuela, and Colombia.

Harold wants to further his life-long commitment to serving others by representing the people of Kitchener-Conestoga in our Federal Parliament. His vision for Canada is that we be known as a country that welcomes all people who have personal goals and ambitions and who work hard to achieve those goals. The policies of the Conservative Party of Canada clearly reflect a commitment to rewarding individual and corporate initiative, while providing fairness and justice to those in need. When fully implemented, these policies will provide a fiscally responsible and democratically accountable framework that gives all Canadians a better life.

In 1999 along with his wife Betty, Harold started Pathway Community Church in the southwest part of Kitchener. He owns and operates a 75 acre farm, raising calves, and cash crops of beans, corn, wheat, and alfalfa, and operates a small woodlot.

Betty and Harold have been married for 34 years, and have 3 married children and 7 grandchildren.
