Born in Rouyn, Mr. Caouette has been active in political life for many years. From 1974 to 1980, he served as a Member of Parliament for Villeneuve and Abitibi. After leaving federal politics, Mr. Caouette also served a city councillor for Val d’Or from 1986 to 1992.
Mr. Caouette is also an accomplished businessman. He has had an impressive career as an insurance sales representative as well as a sales representative in the air conditioning industry.
