Info | ANN DAY was elected to the Arizona State Senate in 1990, where she serves as Majority Whip. She also serves on the Judiciary Committee; the Commerce, Agriculture & Natural Resources Committee; and the Rules Committee.
She received her B.A. in Education from ASU and her M.ED. In Counseling and Guidance from the University of Arizona.
Ann, the daughter of a pioneering ranching family, grew up on the ranch that was started by her grandfather in 1880. She was later Corporate Director of the Lazy B Cattle Company that her family operated for 114 years. Her former professional experience includes Junior High School Teacher and Marriage and Family Therapist with the Pima County Conciliation Court. She has been active in the community and has served on various boards and commissions. She was the first woman appointed to the State Industrial Commission. She is a precinct committeewoman from District 12.
