| Info | Francis X. Becker, Jr., a Republican, was the first elected representative of the 6th Legislative District in the new Nassau County Legislature. The 6th District encompasses the incorporated Villages of East Rockaway, Lynbrook and Valley Stream and a portion of North Valley Stream. Legislator Becker was re-elected by wide margins in 1997, 1999, and 2001.
Legislator Becker is a member of the Lynbrook Elks Lodge and serves as the Cerebral Palsy Chairman. He is also a member of the Lynbrook Elks, Youth Committee; Our Lady of Peace Parish; Holy Name Society; Mom and Dads Club, Lynbrook High School. Legislator Becker is the Past President of the Lynbrook Junior Chamber of Commerce and is the Past Exalted Ruler of the Lynbrook Elks Lodge. He is a former coach of the Lynbrook Titans Football and the Lynbrook Titans Lacrosse teams.
Legislator Becker is a graduate of Lynbrook High School. He attended Nassau Community College and Hofstra University where he studied Business Finance. Currently, Legislator Becker is a certified Financial Planner with Becker & Associates in Lynbrook.
Legislator Becker and his wife Clementine reside in Lynbrook along with their youngest daughter, Diana. Their oldest daughter, Madeline, is married to David Williams and they have two children. Their middle daughter, Beth, is married to Neil Sutton.
