InfoBob Crumley graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Appalachian State University in 1977. Even during his early college years, his political life was in full swing. In 1976, he was awarded the Order of the Long Leaf Pine by Governor Holshouser. By the time he'd graduated with honors, he'd served as a Governor's Page, been a member of the Appalachian State University College Republicans, acted as a delegate to his first North Carolina Republican State Convention, been an advisor with the Jim Cole for State House campaign and served as a volunteer and driver for the Flaherty for Governor campaign.

Bob became Chairman for the Stokes County Republican Party in 1977, where he was the youngest American to hold such a position. In 1978, he began working on his law degree at Wake Forest University and volunteered for the Ham Horton for Congress campaign. By the end of 1980, he had served as finance director for the Anne Bagnal for Congress campaign, received his Juris Doctor degree and been admitted to the North Carolina State Bar.

Over the next several years, Bob moved to Asheboro, North Carolina (where he still lives with his family today) and held various positions with corporations and local government. Beginning as the staff counsel for First American Savings Bank, he went on to become County Manager and County Attorney for Randolph County, North Carolina. In 1984, Bob began working for Steadman Corporation as the director of personnel services, and became president of Employee Benefit Protective Services in 1986.

In 1987, with years of solid business experience under his belt, Bob decided to put his law degree to work in private practice. In 1989, he founded his own firm, Crumley & Associates. Starting with one office in Asheboro, North Carolina, Crumley & Associates is now the largest consumer law firm in North Carolina with ten staffed offices throughout the state. Bob is also liscensed real estate broker involved in commercial real estate development.

Bob currently serves on five Boards of Directors throughout North Carolina. They include, Co-Chair of the NC Commission on State Property, the Republican Board Member of the Randolph County Board of Elections, The North Carolina Aviation Museum, Randolph Community College Small Business Advisory Board, and the Board of Leadership North Carolina. He has previously served on the Boards of The Randolph County Pregnancy Prevention Council, North Carolina Private Protectives Services Licensing Board, and the Piedmont Triad Partnership Foundation.

In addition to these Boards, Bob has been a featured speaker at law schools, legal seminars, management seminars and Civic Clubs in over 20 states. He has twice served on the Board of Opinion Leaders for his Asheboro hometown newspaper, The Courier Tribune,and since 1992 has been a fellow of the North Carolina Institute of Political Leadership. Bob is a licensed Attorney and Real Estate Broker and is a member of the North Carolina State Bar, the North Carolina and American Bar Associations and the North Carolina Academy of Trial Lawyers. His companies are members of 11 Chambers of Commerce.
