InfoJim Esch, 29, is a life-long resident of Omaha, Nebraska. The son of Denny and Kathy Esch, Jim is the oldest of his five siblings – Bill, Dan, Holly, Scott and Kelly. A 1994 graduate of Creighton Prep, Jim attended Creighton University where he completed their 3/3 law program, receiving a BSBA in 1998 and a JD in 2000. Jim served as president of the student body both at Creighton Prep and Creighton University.

After graduating from law school, Jim worked for the Steier Group, a national consulting and fund raising firm for non-profit organizations. In 2003, he accepted a position with the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce as director of the Greater Omaha Economic Development Partnership, where he helped raise $15 million for the Chamber's efforts to attract more business, jobs and investment to the Omaha community.

Jim is actively involved in the community. He serves on the board of directors of the Siena\Francis House - a homeless shelter and recovery program, the Heart Ministry Center – an outreach program of Sacred Heart Catholic Parish, and the Black Student Catholic Scholarship Fund – a scholarship and mentoring program through the Omaha Archdiocese. Jim also serves on Sacred Heart’s finance committee and is active in Creighton University’s Omaha alumni board.

Jim spends his free time with his friends and family. Occasionally running to stay in shape, he also plays softball, volleyball and organizes a bowling league each winter to raise money for Special Olympics.

Jim is running for Congress because he sees a need for change in America. He believes together we can build a better America. Please join Jim in this positive, grassroots campaign for a brighter future for all.
