Ms. Waihe`e obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and in English from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Prior to attending law school, she taught English as a second language at New Ways International Enterprises in Koriyama, Japan. She attended law school at the Georgetown University Law Center, where she participated in the Georgetown Street Law clinic, teaching general law to high school students at a public school in Washington, D.C., and the Georgetown Criminal Justice Clinic, where she provided supervised counsel for misdemeanor defendants. During her summers attending law school, Ms. Waihe`e interned for the Honorable Ellen Huvelle in the Superior Court of the District of Columbia and clerked at the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney, City and County of Honolulu. Born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii, Ms. Waihe`e is a graduate of Hawaiian Mission Academy. Although she spent most of her life in Hawaii, she has also lived in Japan, California and Washington, D.C. She enjoys acting, hiking, snorkeling, cooking, baking and melt-and-pour soap crafting.
