Description | Center-right party founded and led by the former Prime Minister of the Solomon Islands, Rick Houenipwela after he split from the Solomon Islands Democratic Party (SIDP) led by Matthew Wale. Fences were mended in 2024 when both parties signed a coalition agreement on February 4, 2024, creating the Coalition for Accountability, Reform, & Empowerment (CARE). Coalition intends to run for seats on the National Parliament. DAP currently holds three seats in the National Parliament. |
