I love how Obama is somehow both the weakest President since Carter and also a dictator who imposes his will on America. The GOP can't seem to decide which version it wants.

Well this is a heavily Democratic website. Someone needs to post articles discounting global warming.

The Lieutenant Governorship of Texas however is a pretty powerful position.

This was the first election since the creation of the Republican Party that that the elected President did not come into office with majorities in the House and Senate.

People tend to think of divided government as the norm, but between the 1850s and today every new president (except the three Republicans who were elected during Democrats' 40-year lock the House of Representatives) came into office with party control of the House and Senate... and then lost it along the way.

And Scotland is being dominated by the Westminister government whom is imposing policies to our pensions, healthcare and welfare system whom the Scottish people did not vote for.

1. If England decides to slash health spending in England then the block grant for Scotland is slashed to take that into account.

2. Pensions and benefits are under the control of Westminster.

3. Taxation and many economic levers are also under control by westminster.

4. Taxes from exports, oil and whisky which is worth billions also all goes to London.

(And heres a point if England thought Scotland was going to be so poor why are they finding so hard to keep us ? if i were the english pm and Scotland were costing me i would encourage them to leave so that the English taxpayer did not have to pay for Scotland. ?)

Post Ini Idea = Establish a alliance similar to the Nordic union to help with strengthening economic and social progress between the two states
Establish a Passport union like the one in Scandinavia which allows folks to cross the boarder if they hold a UK/Scottish passport.

Jason: Rick Perry.

Is that a joke? Obama might've won Georgia if Perry was the nominee.

Picimpalious: 5 months is a reasonable amount of time to choose.

9 months is even more reasonable.

So, a man dies, and your first thought is "Oh noez! Now there will be a Republican in his seat temporarily!" I hate humanity, I really do.

RIP Frank Lautenberg. My deepest condolences to your friends & family.

"You're not astute enough to understand this political concept" hasn't really worked as a line of attack against a user older than thirteen since around the time User#7206 got thrown into a pit of fire for using it against twenty different people.

I'm more than aware of why Nixon did what he did, and I stand by my prior statements here.

Who are you to dictate what level of coverage each individual of millions of people deems adequate for themselves? Your saying that it's lousy is a blanket judgment that you're passing over others.

The OC Dems seem to be the only people on planet earth sticking up for the IRS here. No group should be targeted based on their political leaning, be it conservative, liberal, libertarian, anarchist, socialist, prohibitionist, etc. This is indefensible, and inexcusable. Combine it with Benghazi the AP spying, the slaughter of innocent children with drones, Obama needs to be impeached. NOW. But, they didn't bother to impeach Bush for his crimes, so I have zero faith in that happening.

Being anti-choice does not fit with being a libertarian. That said, this doctor broke the law, these were not legal abortions. If abortion was banned, you'd have cases like this every day.

If working to keep the site alive after it randomly shut down one day equates to being a little too emotional at times, then yes, guilty as charged.

On a more serious note, I have to give Polk credit for setting an agenda and being able to execute it even while pledged to one term. That's impressive.
