My OC New Year's Resolutions: Complete French races on "To-Do" list and knock out a significant chunk of the "Uncertified Races" and "No Race Created" races.

Hope we can get a lot of the "To-Do Items" done this year and continue to build the site!

Hi, IndyGeorgia! I noticed you input a recent election, the Erik Bohen-Pat Burke donnybrook election from up in NYS for the State Assembly. I'm from that area, and I'd love to assist in inputting campaigns like that one, for the local levels. Is there any way you could please approve me for editing? Thanks!

Hey, I'm not the one to approve people for editing, but if you see information you want added, post it to the appropriate page and someone will put it in. After a period of positive contribution, I'm sure you will get editing privileges.

Thanks for any contributions!

Hey, IndyGeorgia, a tip o' the hat from me to you. Good work. Always good work.

You put in depth, fairness and fact into designing your races, sub-races, containers - you name it. No obvious marks of bias in your craft.

You're thoughtful, diligent, hard-working and very valuable to any operation which wants to succeed.

You've engendered my respect, whatever it's worth (and it may not be worth the 2¢ I literally do not have associated with my name here. So my praise is free for now).

Just par for the course for IndyGeorgia? I think you did more than 3-dozen races, containers and polls + over 100 entries this weekend. If Usain Bolt had Einstein's brain, you'd still beat him to the finish line. Three saluto romanos to you!

As your captive observer, I must commend you, RP, M@, BrentinCO, RBH, EV - everyone else here that I have missed. The palette of colors you use to paint this astonishing thing of beauty is worthy of being hung center-stage in a future Museum of the Internet.

After years of hard work and hard thinking, your reward is a prize that will live on as long as the Permian Age. Well done!

I would like to add the Council of Europe, which is an important 47-nation, all-Europe organization separate from the European Union, to the ORGANIZATIONS/OTHER column in the International section. How does one do this? Above the column on the left-hand side it reads for me "Unknown column 'UserLink' in 'where clause'"

It says that for me, as well. I haven't added an organization in a while, so I don't remember if there is usually an "Add" button under Organizations or if you hit the "Add" button under Countries and change the Category to Organizations.

Obviously don't want to add every international organization, but this seems like a fine one to add.

Hello IndyGeorgia, and thank you for the warm welcome! I was curious to know how we edit locations of where candidates are, so that a pin shows up on the map? Thank you!

Hey IndyGeorgia - if you're putting in the maps from the US Census Bureau, can you include the Census ID (GEOID in the kml) and the GNIS (PLACENS in the kml)? These will be important.

If there is already data in those fields, it may be wrong.

Just in case, for any cities that cross county lines, make sure you're using the Places files and not the CountySub files. CountySub ones will have the cities, but split for each county they are in and we don't want that. Their ID #s will also be wrong.

Thanks!

Hi, I pulled the Georgia cities map from the Atlanta Regional Commission's website. [Link]

Is that alright? Is there a way for me to add the necessary Census data afterwards?

Sure, any respectable source is fine, but the Census Bureau has all the shapefiles for lots of things from 2007-2019 available here: [Link]

And they have those bits of info.

I think you can use this tool to convert the shapefiles to kml. [Link]

Ah, did not know about this source. Still trying to figure out the new Census website; got used to the American FactFinder.

Yeah. Both of them are awkward though. I feel they could have re-done it better.

Hello Mr. Boi, the maps are failing to load on my end. We have the 16 Presidential and 18 Gubernatorial results by CD, already. Precincts are a different animal.
