Re: that poll, I'm wondering because:
When people say, 'We're going to win on turnout,' it usually means, 'We're going to lose.'"-- Mark Mellman, one of the country's top Democratic pollsters, at a WisPolitics luncheon, saying Dems will be able to craft an election message that resonates with the small number of undecided.

Despite my answer in that poll, I do maintain that I am, in fact, the prettiest princess.

I am the Prettiest Princess because I think the election will be decided by the 10% of Democratic and Independent voters who will not vote to recall someone on principle.

I think it will be decided by the popularity of Scott Walker. He's not that unpopular.

If anything, it'll be decided by turnout. Most people have already made up their minds. It's a matter of who comes out and who decides to stay home.

True... although that seemed somewhat random.

Having a degree in economics doesn't prove anything. Still, it's an attack that could work.

RP: I am the Prettiest Princess because I think the election will be decided by the 10% of Democratic and Independent voters who will not vote to recall someone on principle.

I'm worried about that too. I feel like the Democratic party has stuck to safe themes like jobs, but haven't tried to make the case that Scott Walker needs to be recalled.

Because Republicans tried to recall some Democratic state senators.

Basically it's a gigantic case of "no u"

Really? I could be wrong, but I thought Dems went after Walker and GOP state senators ad then GOP went after the Dem senators.

I think the fact that he's being recalled in his own state rules him out to run for a higher office. Even if he pulls out a win here, his political future is nonexsistent.

Barack O-blame-a: Really? I could be wrong, but I thought Dems went after Walker and GOP state senators ad then GOP went after the Dem senators.

There's a dispute over timing, but throughout the protests people were buzzing about recalling a lot of different politicians, but ultimately the Republicans beat the Democrats to the punch.

Barack O-blame-a: Why does Scott Walker need to be recalled?

Do you want my reasons or what I'd pitch to people who don't like Walker but are skeptical of the recall?

For me personally, I like the idea of being able to recall politicians and the threshold is high enough that it's not easy to do this sort of thing on a whim. Specifically, I oppose Walker's moves against the public unions (which he didn't campaign on), massive cuts to education, anti-environmental policies and the politicization of the state bureaucracy.

For someone skeptical, I'd focus on the John Doe investigation, cronyism, wastefulness, and the fact that he lied during the campaign about his intention (which kind of justifies a recall since he tricked people into thinking he was something he wasn't.) I have no idea how well those things poll test, but that would be what I'd pitch.

However, at least from where I sit, the Democrats and allies have been hitting him on traditional campaign themes like jobs (which is good too, but you know, we might need a little something extra for a recall election).

That's fine 1414, but you're also a partisan Dem and I wouldn't expect you to think another way. Legislation isn't made overnight. Often times, it takes years for policies effects to be felt, both good and bad. I can understand if the politician murdered small children or something, but a recall based on political reasons seems very shallow. Wait until 2014 when his term is up and try to defeat him then, especially after his policies have had a few more years to have an effect.
