Belgium & Netherlands, England, Mexico, Portugal & Spain, Russia, and United States also submitted bids to host the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
Indonesia and Mexico have since withdrawn their bids to host the 2022 World Cup.
The United States withdrew its bid to host the 2018 World Cup which results in Belgium & Netherlands, England, Portugal & Spain, and Russia all being disqualified from hosting in 2022.
