It does appear that Suthers will likely lose his re-election bid for a 2nd full term if the Dems continue to hammer away at his controversial handling of letting a serial killer to be an FBI informant, etc.,

I'm sticking with a slight lean to the Republican given the political environment in CO. Obama might just let Suthers slide back into office this year.

This scandal regarding Kimball IMHO has no legs.

Reading these accounts seem to indicate that the FBI was pushing to have Kimball released and treated as an FBI informant.

They persuaded Suthers' deputy US Attorneys that he had no violent offenses and just check-kiting violations.

To me it seems Suthers will not be blamed for this as he can be viewed as cooperating with an FBI investigation (that unfortunately ended very badly).
