Description

Incumbent John Ladenburg is term-limited, leaving an open seat.

Note: Consistent with a charter amendment passed by Pierce County voters in 2006, implementing instant runoff voting for all countywide elections except judicial and county prosecutor races, there will be no partisan primaries held for this office. All candidates turning in at least 25 signatures from valid registered voters will be listed on the general election ballot with lowest preferences being removed until a candidate receives a majority of votes.
