| Description |
The 3d Farmer Labor Party National Convention assembled in Chicago IL for a two-day convention (7/10-11/1928). There were only 30 delegates present. The convention nominated George W. Norris NE for President and James A. Reed MO for Vice President. Both men declined to run.
On 9/6/1928 (New York Times 9/7/1928), the party selected Frank E. Webb to run as its replacement nominee with Will Vereen for vice president.
