Republican Nomination
The Republican state convention on 5/15 nominated Ruff Henderson. He withdrew from the race on 10/21 so Ayer could appear on the Republican ticket.
Populist and Fusion Nomination
The Populist state convention nominated Ayer unanimously on the first ballot. He became the Republican nominee on 10/21.
Prohibition Nomination
The Prohibition state convention on 8/19 nominated Sherrill.
National Prohibition Nomination
The National Prohibition state convention on 8/21 nominated John R. Miller. He later withdrew from the race and was replaced on the ballot with C.P. Howerton. However, in some locations, Miller's name remained on the ballot.
