Madrazo is running on a coalition of the Institutional Revolutionary Party and the Ecologist Green Party. The name of their coalition is Alliance for Mexico and is separate from the 2000 election's Alliance for Mexico which supported leftist Cuauhtémoc Cárdenas.

AMLO is running on a coalition of the Party of the Democratic Revolution, the Workers Party, and Convergence. The name of their coalition is Alliance for the Welfare of All.

Calderón earned the National Action line and is not allied with any minor parties.
