If Foti ran the state like he runs the jail in New Orleans we are all in trouble...Things seem to be going so well down there. What good can a 64 year old, 30 year, New Orleans politician do for this state?

Ask Foti about his numerous DWI's, while holding the office of sheriff. Good example to lead while being a leader... Another question one might ask is how many deputies that he has hired have been arrested? Trust me the numbers would baffle you.

Mr. Bayou Coon, may I ask who you're backing, and why? Also, who do you think will make it into the Gubenatorial runoff? Thanks.

When is Terrel gonna announce. I want Mary Landrieu to make sure she gets beaten again. Remember when Proud Mary turned Suzy and said, "This is gonna be your last campaign." ?

Dear Mr.Liberal I have not yet chosen a candidate for AG. Mr. Donovan appears to have good credentials. Suzy and Foti forget it. Marjorie seems to be a coat tail rider of granddaddy and daddy.Lets see if anyone else gets in. As for Gov. I believe that Kennedy would make an outstanding Gov.

Larry Sabato put the following on his website about Terrell:
"Republican Suzanne Terrell, fresh off her losing U.S. Senate bid, is also seriously considering entering the race."
That was in regards to the Governor's race. So maybe she is still looking at her options.

Why SouthernDem? Cos there are about 4 or more other people running for this office and she needs to raise money. The actual election is only a few months away too. I am thinking in the NY way where we run 3 years ahead of the election.

Southern Democrat the information that you are posting on this site is totally incorrect. First of all I hinformed you about your mistake with Donovan running in 1987 and McKeithen is not running for Attorney General. If you are going to post information make sure it is correct because when you assume something you make an ass out of you and anyone that believes your incorrect information. I hope you have the ability to correct the bad information that you and your group has placed on this web site so that viewers can get an accurate account of this race.

Bayou Coon at least you speak the truth and know what you are talking about. I may not approve of the methods you use in attacking these people that do not know what they are talking about but you are very knowledgable about this race. I cannot beleive these people are talking about McKeithen being in this race and their lack of knowledge about Foti problems. Please Respond Bayou Coon!

Concerned Citizen:
We frequently add speculative candidates in the mix until they declare they are not running or the official filing deadline indicates they will not be on the ballot. Are you suggesting that McKeithen is not even a speculative candidate? If so, this is very helpful information since 10 people have indicated a leaning preference for McKeithen.
The entry lists 4/18/2003 as her entry. I am unable to find anything that would indicate she announced on this date. If she did not officially announce her candidacy, we should remove this date. The article that Mr. Conservative posted would also indicate the McKiethan is not an officially announced candidate. Politics1.com lists her as an official candidate, but his could be a type.
On a side note, I am curious about what I see as a peculiar underuse of capitalization by posters from Louisiana on this website. Can you enlighten me? :)

PolitixUSA,
I suggest that you look in the newspapers or check with the democratic party or republican party to determine if McKeithen is even talkng about running. In response to your ten people that have indicated a leaning preference for McKeithen maybe they are not from Louisiana either. On the other hand, maybe they grab garbage from other web sites to encourage incorrect information. She has never announced her candidacy nor has she been mentioned in any media source in the last year. The only two candidates that have officially announced are Al Donovan and Charles Foti. Suzanne Haik Terrell claims that she will announce in the next several weeks. Finally, I do not know what state you are from but i would not dare to get online and act like a political wizard and place incorrect, uneducated guesses on a web site so I can get points on a stupid posting board. If this web site is worth anything then you guys will post truthful inforamtion on this site. If this site continues to place incorrect information then the public needs to know that you are wasting your time on this site.
On a side note, since you are obviously not from Louisiana why would you even care who our next Attorney General will be and do you have anything better to do but argue about incorrect information and indivual typing skills.

Thank you for pointing out that politicians outside Illinois in no way, shape or form influence the future of my country. Henceforth, I shall do nothing but stay home and watch "Survivor."

Concerned - wow slow down. I am actually on your side. I was supporting what you were saying about McKiethan and inviting you to share your knowledge with the rest of the community about this race. I generally don't like to change the data other people enter on this site out of respect and was trying to raise the issue so Southern Dem would come back and change it himself. Parker has taken care if it.
I'll admit I know very little about Louisiana politics, but I am interested because I am a political junkie like most of the other people on this website. I find (and I think they others do to) that this website gives us a chance to record our "uneducated guesses" and see how we perform. I find it fun to talk about politics and issues with other people from different parts of the country and feel I have learned more about the local aspects of politics for other community members.
Also, as a community based collaberative project, it requires people provide their own quality assurance. I think for most people it is about learning more about an interest we have - politics. Somes peoples information is better than others and like life, we each make a choice about who we think is a reliable source.
On the typing thing, I was joking and not arguing. That's why I put the symbol for a smile or :) at the end of the sentences. I was looking to strike up a little friendly conversation with a new member by using a little cutting humor. I'll admit it doesn't always translate well in non-verbal communication, but I certainly didn't mean to offend you. If you want you can make fun of me. I was born in New Jersey, grew up in California and Connecticut, and have also lived in Ontario and Utah for work. Plenty to make fun of in any of those places.
Since we don't have many people from Louisiana you can probably play a great role in posting information about the races and if people find your information helpful, they might just engage you further.

DC's Politcal Report is also listing her as a potential candidate.
http://www.dcpoliticalreport.com/stbyst.htm
I saw the Politics1.com page too. However, the article that Mr. Conservative posted says the only declared candidates are Foti and Donovan. So I am not sure which one is right and I haven't been able to find backup confirmation of her entrance in any other online source (newspapers included). If you can find something else, that would helpful. But becareful I was trying to be helpful and got my hand chopped off in the process. :)

Anyone from Louisiana especially the New Orleans area know about Foti's arrogant, self serving attitude. This man should be ashamed of himself for insulting the voters of Louisiana for thinking that they would elect him. Suzy is self explanitory and I don't know about Marjorie other than she has lucky sperm syndrom. Donovan seems to be more down to earth as well as qualified. Lets see if anyone else gets in. If no one else enters Mr.Donovan has my vote.
