A special election for the lame duck session of the Congress of 1932-33 was held concurrently with this election, and the certified numbers for that election are given above. These numbers are not the sum of the counties; the actual sum of the counties for the special election are used for that race. The original county returns are stored in Raleigh (I have seen them but did not have time to wade through them) and need to be consulted. The official returns of Robeson County were printed in the newspaper the Robesonian on 11/14/1932; the official returns from Guilford County were published in the Greensboro Daily News on 11/11/1932.
