| Description | Socialist, far left party once known as the Left Party Communists from 1967 to 1990, the Swedish Communist Party from 1921 and the Swedish Social Democratic Left Party, launched after the Bolshevik takeover in Russia in 1917. Party quickly hardened its Marxist-Leninist core and drove away its 'social democrat' element in 1921. Party's calcification and indications of direct rule from the Soviet Communist Party forced it onto the fringe for 70 years until Socialist "innovators" upon the disappearance of the Soviet Union took control and deleted 'Communism' from all of its literature. The party then moved from pariah to now the 5th largest in Parliament. The party leader since October 31, 2020 is Nooshi Dadgostar. |
