Description | Center-left party launched by activists led by former President and Prime Minister Mário Soares living in exile during the authoritarian Second Republic. The PS led the countercoup, setting the PCP on a sliding scale of popularity ever since. Party has been led by Prime Minister António Costa since 2015. Party's official color is red, but it has more recently been identified with the color pink. [Partido Socialista (PS)]. |
