| Description | Centrist environmentalist party that "does not belong to either the left or the right - just the green and the grey." Party was formed by Ove Braaten from a non-profit called Framtiden i våre hender, using the structure of Die Grünen in Germany as a model. Party at first experimented by offering candidates in local elections before going national in 1988. Party was able to pick up three seats in the Storting after elections held in 2021. Party has been led since April 25, 2020 by Oslo MP Une Aina Bastholm [Miljøpartiet dei Grøne (MdG); The Green Party]. |
