DescriptionEPP-ED is the primary Christian Democrat and conservative group in the European Parliament. It is an alliance between the pro-EU European People's Party and the more eurosceptic European Democrats. Prior to its 1992 alliance, both parties ran separately.

The alliance ended in 2009 when the European Democrats disbanded upon the creation of the separate European Conservatives & Reformists group.
