Also known as the Labour Party, it is a left-wing Maoist minor party in Mexico. They typically ally with the larger Party of the Democratic Revolution, and have allied with their presidential candidates since the party's creation. Running on their own in 2003, they won six seats in the House of Deputies, but as a part of the PRD's left-wing coalition in the 2006 legislative elections they earned record seats in both houses of Congress. |
