Description“I think what the Blue Dogs appreciate about Nancy’s leadership is not only is it new and refreshing, but she’s certainly shown an open mind to the Blue Dogs and other sections of our caucus,” Rep. Jim Turner (Texas) said afterwards.

“There’s no question she has been very aggressive in reaching out, in particular to our Blue Dog group,” he added.

One conservative House Democrat said Pelosi has been surprisingly open towards the conservatives in the Caucus.

“I don’t feel that [Pelosi] has been unfair at this point,” the lawmaker said. “She has the desire to let every Democrat be what they want to be. I have no doubt she is listening to conservative voices.”
