DescriptionDoug Meslow is a first term Republican state representative from White Bear Lake, representing District 53B. He sits on the Judiciary Policy and Finance, Education Policy and Higher Education Finance committees. On a day like Feb. 26, he is right in the middle of the action at the Capitol, with the Education Policy Committee hearing a State Auditor’s report on No Child Left Behind and the Judiciary Committee discussing a law establishing the death penalty.

Before becoming a state representative, Meslow served on the White Bear Lake Area School Board. He is currently a partner with Meslow and Olson Law Offices and is the city prosecutor for White Bear Lake.

A self-described moderate Republican, Meslow’s time, advice and vote has been sought after by both parties since he was elected in 2002.
