Description | Presidents' faces urged for $1 coins
The Chicago Tribune
Sacagawea would make way for the faces of U.S. presidents under a proposal aimed at breathing new life into the little-used dollar coin. Reps. Mike Castle (R-DE) and Carolyn Maloney (D-NY) intend to offer legislation Tuesday for a rotating design approach, similar to the popular quarter program. Under the legislative proposal, four presidents would be honored each year, in the order that they served the country. |
