| Description | A sitting Democratic lawmaker and former Democratic House member have endorsed Attica Scott over incumbent Democratic Rep. Tom Riner in the May 17 Democratic primary.
“At a recent candidates’ forum, he shocked the audience with his declaration that he no longer caucuses with the Democrats,” the letter continues. “He even assisted County Clerk Kim Davis with her legal defense by introducing her to Liberty Counsel – the legal arm of Jerry Falwell’s Liberty University.”
Scott leads all candidates in the race in fundraising with more than $17,000 raised and $14,638 left in cash-on-hand. Riner filed a report with the Kentucky Registry of Election Finance showing that he has not raised any money in the campaign. |
