[NY] Assemblyman Ceretto makes it official: He’s a Democrat (again)

| Description | Assemblyman John Ceretto of Niagara Falls on Tuesday morning announced that he’s flipping parties to join the chamber’s Democratic majority, which he believes “is more in line with the issues facing Western New York families.”
Ceretto, whose decision was first reported by Politico NY Monday evening, will be accompanied at a 10 a.m. press conference by Majority Leader Joseph D. Morelle of Rochester.
First elected to the chamber in 2010, Ceretto is actually returning to the Democratic fold: He switched to the GOP in 2006, while serving as a Niagara County legislator. |
