Description | Rep. Alan Grayson, D-Orlando, announced this morning that he is running for the U.S. Senate.
Speaking by satellite link to WKMG-TV, Local 6 Morning News in Orlando, from Washington D.C., the three-term congressman with indisputable liberal policies and a legendary penchant for aggressive, sometimes outrageous attacks on opponents, said. "I'm running for the Senate."
In brief clips of an interview played on WKMG, he told Local 6's Mike Holfeld that he expects his candidacy to like that of U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren's in Massachusetts in 2012, drawing national attention and support. He called the race, "the 'it' campaign of 2016."
"It's going to be famous. What people see of us doing in this race is going to live until the end of time. This is going to be the first race, the first real political race of the 21st century," Grayson said. |
