FBI agents search Allentown City Hall in connection with grand jury probe

| Description | Agents from the FBI executed a search warrant Thursday in Allentown City Hall in connection with a federal grand jury investigation, officials confirmed for The Morning Call.
Federal agents were in City Hall for several hours executing a warrant for records dated 2005 to the present, said Susan Ellis Wild, Allentown's solicitor. Several offices were searched and employees were asked to vacate each office, Wild said.
Allentown Mayor Ed Pawlowski did not answer calls to his phone, and no one answered the door at his home Thursday evening. Other top city administrators also could not be reached for comment. |
