Description"The stars appear to be in alignment for Chris Christie. Hot off the heels of lap-band stomach surgery, the 55th New Jersey Governor appears to be steadily losing weight and picking up steam, collecting endorsements from not only his own Grand Ole’ Party, but from Democrats around the Garden State, seizing the opportunity to declare bipartisanship for the sake of all New Jerseyans.

Still riding the wave of his marketing jingle, "Stronger than the Storm", critics call a campaign infomercial, the Governor continues to hob knob with Jersey's own Jon Bon Jovi in his hometown of Sayreville with Sandy victims nearly a year after the ferocious hurricane battered their homes and in the process, lapping up broad-based bipartisan support for his reelection bid.

On Monday, Christie received the endorsement of several Latino business leaders and individual business owners in Bellville. This new wave of diverse support includes the Chairman of the Statewide Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of New Jersey Carlos Medina, the President of Essex County Latino-American Chamber of Commerce John Sanchez, the President of The Hispanic American Chamber of Commerce Foundation of Essex County Miguel Rodriguez, and more than 100 Hispanic-owned small businesses from across the state.

Last week, Christie was endorsed by the Mayor of Scotch Plains, Democrat Kevin Glover, the latest in a string of Ds jumping ship to the Republican side. The endorsement marks the seventeenth Democrat mayor and forty-fifth Democrat elected official across New Jersey to cross the aisle to stand with Christie as he seeks reelection in November.

Democrats sprinting to back the Republican governor have become somewhat commonplace in the state, so much that the Christie administration has dubbed Democrats who appear undeterred by party loyalty, "Christie-crats".
