Description | Two lesbian couples received licenses to marry Wednesday morning in Norristown.
Same-sex marriage is illegal in Pennsylvania, but Montgomery County Register of Wills D. Bruce Hanes announced Tuesday that he believed the law unconstitutional and would not deny the licenses to gay and lesbian couples.
Loreen M. Bloodgood and Alicia A. Terrizzi of Pottstown were the first in line Wednesday morning to apply.
