DescriptionSIOUX FALLS, SD -

A Sioux Falls doctor who had to fight to keep her medical license late last year may be exploring a run for U.S. Senate.

Dr. Annette Bosworth and her husband are visiting Washington D.C. Thursday and posting pictures of Bosworth on Capitol Hill on their facebook pages. One person commented on a picture ‘#soontosdsenator.’

A post on CNN's iReport site earlier this week says that Bosworth will make an announcement this month on challenging Governor Mike Rounds for the Republican nomination.

The iReport site is based on user-generated posts and the story was not vetted by CNN. The South Dakota conservative blog South Dakota War College reports that the person who posted the story is Bosworth’s intern.

Dr. Bosworth and her husband have not responded to phone calls or messages from KELOLAND TV over the past two days.

Late last year, Bosworth kept he medical license after the South Dakota Board of Medical and Osteopathic Examiners accused her of not following the conditions of a reprimand for employing an unlicensed physician assistant without the proper supervision agreement.

Earlier this year Bosworth also settled a Medicaid dispute with the state without admitting any wrongdoing.
