Description | Those of you who believe presidential campaigns are one big, staged photo op now have reinforcement for your oh-so-cynical suspicions. During a campaign sweep through hotly contested Ohio over the weekend, VP hopeful Paul Ryan and his family stopped at a Youngstown soup kitchen, where they donned aprons, rolled up their sleeves and were photographed washing dishes. It made for a perfect picture, except for one detail: The dishes seemed to already be clean. What's more, no one at the soup kitchen was dirtying more dishes or in need of serving because breakfast was over by the time the Ryans arrived. Why let a few pesky details get in the way of a good shot? |
