Description | Liberal activist Ed Fallon this morning in his weekly email blast urged Iowans not to vote for fellow Democrat Leonard Boswell, and to instead cast a write-in vote for Frank Cownie, currently the mayor of Des Moines.
Fallon cited several reasons why he thinks people shouldn’t vote for Boswell this fall, including “lack of integrity.”
After serving 13 years in the Iowa Legislature, Fallon unsuccessfully tried to replace Boswell in the U.S. House four years ago. Boswell spent $1 million fighting back Fallon’s primary challenge, but won 61 percent to 39 percent.
In his email today, and in a post on his Fallon Forum website, Fallon accuses a Boswell aide of trying to bribe him – an allegation that Boswell’s staff said today is false and will be the subject of a lawsuit. |
