Description | "Republican U.S. Sen. Scott Brown has for the first time picked up the endorsement of a sitting Democratic state lawmaker — Malden state Rep. Christopher Fallon of Malden.
Fallon said Friday he broke with his party and backed Brown because of his decency and sincerity. Fallon said he and Brown have been friends for a long time. Fallon has also contributed to Brown’s campaigns in the past.
Brown has been touting his support from Democrats — including former Boston Mayor Ray Flynn and former Springfield Mayor Charlie Ryan — as he tries to cast himself as a bipartisan lawmaker.
Brown is facing a challenge from Democrat Elizabeth Warren in November.
On Wednesday, Warren gave a prime time address at the Democratic National Convention in which she appealed to middle class voters." |
