Description | US lawmakers voted Wednesday to repeal the health care law, a contentious move by lockstep Republicans aimed at striking down a key achievement of President Barack Obama in the heat of an election year.
The bill, which passed with 244 votes to 185, came as outraged Democrats accused Republicans of seeking to score political points, but the legislation has virtually no chance of passing the Democratic-held Senate. |
