DescriptionIn a unanimous 6-0 vote the Government Accountability Board decided Tuesday morning to reverse its previous decision and instead allow technical college IDs to be used as voter ID under the new law.

The board heard over two hours of public testimony from students, school officials, and concerned citizens regarding the earlier decision not to allow technical college IDs. It was clear by the end that most of the judges had changed their minds. "I think we were wrong," admitted Judge Thomas Cane.

"We should read the statutes to promote voting, rather than narrowing," Judge Thomas Barland agreed.
