Description | JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. — Former St. Charles County State Representative Cynthia Davis is launching a third party candidacy for Lieutenant Governor.
Davis, a former Republican, is now a member of the Constitution Party. She announced her plans over the weekend during stops in Springfield and Kansas City and an appearance Monday in St. Louis.
Davis and her family operate a Christian bookstore in O’Fallon. She has been outspoken in her conservative views, and will look to lure conservative and Tea Party votes away from Speaker of the House Steven Tilley who is running for Lieutenant Governor as a Republican.
Former State Auditor Susan Montee has entered the race on the Democratic side of the ticket. |
