| Description | Longtime Congressman Jerry Costello (D-Illinois) will not seek re-election in 2012.
Costello, who began serving in August 1988 following a special election, is set to officially announce his decision at 11 a.m. at the St. Louis Downtown Airport in Cahokia, Illinois.
