Description | The three-term House member sent a letter to supporters this morning saying she will run for Congress if there is an opening from the 1st District.
Laura Ruderman made it clear she would not run if incumbent U.S. Rep. Jay Inslee seeks an 8th term from the north-of-Seattle district.
Ruderman represented the state's 45th District from 1999 to 2005. She didn't seek re-election in 2004, instead filing to run for secretary of state. She lost that year to Republican Sam Reed.
She also was an unsuccessful candidate for state Democratic party chairman in 2006. |
