DescriptionSpokesman for GOP leaders Jeff and Scott Fitzgerald said they have the votes to pass the guv's budget repair bill in both houses even as thousands descended on the Capitol today to protest the proposed changes.

While union workers denounced the bill during the rally on the Capitol steps, hundreds jammed the rotunda and others packed the Joint Finance hearing room to testify on the bill.

Committee Co-chair Rep. Robin Vos opened today's public hearing on the bill by promising unlike the Doyle budget repair bill last session, this process will be "much more open and transparent."

Also, Gov. Scott Walker announced today he will deliver his budget address next week at an employee owned manufacturer of animal livestock feed, supplements and base mixes.
