Description | The state senator for Kanawha County announces his plans to run for governor of Gov. Joe Manchin wins the U.S. Senate seat in the special election.
Some politicians are already looking beyond the special election.
On this week's Decision Makers, one state senator says he's prepared for what may happen next.
"I plan to be in a position after Nov. 2 when we find out when the special election will occur for governor," said State Sen. Brooks McCabe, D-Kanahwa. "I believe there will be a special election and I will be one of the people at the table going forward."
McCabe says he'll throw his hat into the ring if Gov. Joe Manchin wins the U.S. Senate seat.
You can see Decision Makers Sunday at 8 a.m. right here on your favorite West Virginia Media station.
Brooks was first elected in 1998 and has served 8 years as chairman of the Senate Committee on Economic Development. Currently, Brooks serves as vice-chair of the Senate Finance Committee and represents the 17th District, Kanawha County, as a West Virginia state senator. |
