Description | Will Nebraska Republicans attempt to wipe out the state's congressional district electoral voting system in order to prevent President Obama from competing there in 2012?
Obama used the state's alternative allocation method to his advantage in 2008, picking up one electoral vote in the 2nd Congressional District. Campaign manager David Plouffe even dubbed it his "favorite target."
But the Lincoln Journal Star forecasts a legislative fight to change the system, making it less likely the president would campaign in the state and help rally Democrats towards embattled Sen. Ben Nelson. |
